NIT(KOSEN), Numazu College holds an annual school trip for foreign students in order to encourage their mutual understanding and share Japanese historical and cultural experiences.
This year’s main destination was Odawara Castle in Odawara city. One student from Sri Lanka, three from Malaysia and one from Indonesia joined.
Blessed with good weather, they enjoyed various experiences. They took the footbath in Minaka Odawara Building, took a grand view of Sagami Bay and visited Odawara Castle. They could have a glimpse of Japanese history by visiting NINJA
museum, and the experience of making kamaboko and chikuwa for themselves let them learn about Japanese cuisine.
They loved the freshly made hot chikuwa.
The trip provided them with precious time which they would never have in their ordinary school life.
